Yesterday, I thought how God gave his only son for us – I began to think of all the suffering God knew Jesus would undergo; God knew Jesus would at some point question whether God had forsaken him… But God still sent Jesus because He knew the masterplan. God knew Jesus’ name would be above all names, that demons would tremble and run at the very sound of Jesus’ name. God knew Jesus would be sat on his right hand, God knew Jesus would be worshipped in the heavens and the earth. So God sent his only son to suffer and die on the cross – so that anyone who believed on Jesus would be saved and have eternal life.
‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ John 3:16
If it feels as though you are in your own personal hellish suffering and you don’t understand how God would allow it or whether God has forsaken you. Remember, just like His son Jesus – God has a plan to lift you, prosper you, glorify Himself in you to give you hope and a future. It might feel like the darkest time of your life but one day it will be looked back on as your own personal “Good Friday”
‘… For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11
